It's in no way to her detriment that you wouldn't associate Kris Jenner with the colour pink, well, certainly not in a pastel hue. 

The matriarch of the Kardashian is branded a momager for no small reason, and wields the power in her family with a shrewd eye and a cast-iron grip. 

But she can strike a pose as well as her daughter Kim, when the occasion demands it.

She usually wears black, which complements her raven-coloured hair, or at least sticks to deep or jewel colours.

But pastels are in fashion, and like all Kardashians, Kris must follow a trend even if it doesn't suit her.

Now, this isn't as bad as her daughter Kim,31, in sneakers and leather trousers as Kris, 56, actually looks really good. 

It's just that the style and colour of this outfit are too cutesy, too Stepford Wives for a woman who owns her husband Bruce, and is always running meetings from the family study.

Her Louboutin shoes are classic Kris, and that's why they look incongruous with the outfit.

But Kris donned the outfit for a Annual Mother's Day Luncheon to benefit breast and prostate cancer research held at The Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills. 

She'll be looking forward to Mother's Day weekend after having to deny a rift between her and her famous daughters. 

In Touch Weekly reported that Kim and Khloé skipped out on an April 22 bash that Kris threw in New York City, and that Kim is slowly cutting her mother out of her business dealings.

Kris, however, is ready to set the record straight and is speaking out against the magazine's accusations.

'Yet another ridiculous story, Kris wrote on her blog today. 'I never threw a party anywhere on April 22nd, however our entire family was in NYC filming season 7 of Keeping Up With the Kardashians and having the time of our lives!!'

The mag quotes an unnamed source who alleges that Kim has started to renegotiate her contract as a spokeswoman for Tao restaurant in Las Vegas, but without Kris. 

It also cites a purported eyewitness at the Manhattan party in question, who claims that her daughters' absence left Kris 'visibly shaken and in tears.'

She is the matriarch of the Kardashian household and has had no less than six children. But Kris Jenner gave her glamorous daughters a run for their money with her stunning appearance on a family break to the Dominican Republic.
The manager and reality TV star, 56, could have been confused for Kim, Khloe or Kourtney Kardashian as she relaxed in the pool.

With her slicked back dark hair and glasses covering her eyes she looked considerable younger than her years.
Kris, who had a facelift on camera on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, looked in great shape as she stood by the edge of the pool showing off her curves in a white and black striped bikini.

And her youthful appearance was further enhanced with dark black sunglasses. 
Of course Kris's beauty isn't entirely natural - she has undergone breast augmentation and a face-lift  and it's likely she uses Botox and fillers to fight the aging process.

Kris and husband Bruce Jenner enjoyed a break in the Caribbean with all their Kardashian klan.
They were joined by their dauhters Kylie and Kendall as well as Kris's daughers with Robert Kardashian, Kourtney, Kim and Khloe.
In addition Rob Kardashian, son of Kris and Robert, also joined the group as did Kourtney's partner Scott Disick and their child Mason.

Kris's glamorous appearance wasn't only for her poolside looks - her eveningwear also gave her a youthful appearance.
The reality star donned a bright red and prink floral print dress which boasted a halterneck for an evening out en mass with her whole family.

She was later seen indulging in what appeared to be a drinking competition with Kourtney's boyfriend Scott.
And while she was seen paying plenty of attention to her own children Kris also had energy to indulge her only grandson with plenty of kisses and cuddles.

In fact the pair could have been twins with their matching ensembles and colour pallettes.
The family were seen spending time aboard a luxury yacht and Kris spent time dancing around with her daughter and their friends.
